Alec's answer got an eye roll from Jace, but after tucking his tool away, Jace zipped off right after him. He loved when they moved like this, the pair of them. People could perceive them, barely, but before they registered fully, they were both gone, practically out of sight.

As they approached the zoo, Jace poured on the speed, gripping the chainlink fence to the peacock area and hoisting himself over. He didn't know why they had a designated part anyway, the peacocks always tended to just strut around wherever they wanted to. At least it made for an easy, safe entry point for them.

"It would have been easier to just kill 'em. Helluva lot easier," Jace said, glad to be back at Dick's place and able to speak freely. The blond removed the 1/3 mask Dick had insisted he wear while on patrol, feeling the cortisol in his muscles begin to sharpen. Jace started stretching, kicking his boots off haphazardly. Even though Dick made sure the bad guys lived, that didn't mean Jace wasn't covered in blood, sweat, saliva and probably snot.

"A blade to the midsection is faster and produces less...splatter," he put it nicely, knowing that somehow he'd have to wipe down his leathers before he returned home. The jacket came off easy, leaving him in a leather vest of sorts, runes on display. He hadn't had to activate any, since it was a homicide-free field day.

"I think the criminals are just lazier out here," he said over his shoulder, turning around in a loose circle, unsure where Dick had walked off to but completely comfortable in filling the large silence with his own words, even if they were just for his sake. "Yo. Marco!" He called, his voice bouncing back at him. This place was almost as large as the Institute.
